Another member of the famous
Sands family makes a welcome return to our club. In common with his brother,
he is a hugely talented singer, guitarist and writer. One of Ireland’s
finest musical exports.
29th April Dana Robinson
West coast raised - Appalachian
transplant, Dana Robinson brings roots and tradition to contemporary songwriting.
With an eye for vivid detail, Dana sings stories of the American landscape.
A raconteur/road warrior with a rich voice, hot guitar and fiddle playing,
Dana’s living example sums up the American troubadours experience.
6th May Michael Marra
Scotland’s best kept
secret. Michael’s songs are “soaked in the Scottish experience,
strained through a gauze of ragtime blues piano and... deliver wickedly funny
or poignant parables in a Woodbined voice.” Songs covered by Maddy Prior,
June Tabor, Leo Sayer, Kiki Dee. Greatly entertaining and not to be missed.
